Womanless Diet Tip #3: Don't Jam To 'Girl Power' Ballbusting Anthems...

Good morning, Houseboy fans! What happens when you turn on the radio, MTV/VH1/BET, or the ol' YouTube [or even worse--World Star Hip Hop], and you hear a song such as this?

You get an anti-male, girl-power anthem. Of course, there's a ton of 'em that get regular airplay and of course...award nominations. Regardless if the themes are about infidelity, domestic violence, douchebaggery, and foolishness--anything that describes the oafish, nefarious, and sometimes sociopathic character of any man will sell records! That's right--creating musical and lyrical misandry just to make a quick buck!

...and speaking of Vibe Magazine, the most common are:

Brandy [The Boy Is Mine, Almost Doesn't Count]
Keyshia Cole
Eve
Keri Hilson
Nicki Minaj
Rihanna [e.g., Take A Bow, Man Down]
Beyonce [e.g., If I Were A Boy, Bugaboo, Independent Women]
Mary J. Blige
Ashanti
Avril Lavigne [Complicated]
Carrie Underwood [Before He Cheats]
Otep [e.g., Menocide, Jonestown Tea, Filthee]
J.LO,

and in addition...some male artists including:

Nickelback [e.g., Never Again, Animals, and Just For]
Saliva [Always]
R. Kelly
Trey Songz
Jason DeRulo

...and just yesterday, their list of the best male-bashing anthems was released. I'm not all that surprised. This kind of thing has been going on since the latter half of the 20th century, and I can tell you--this type of egotistical creativity can turn around and hurt them in the end. The only anecdote and cure for it is to listen to indie, underground, and extreme music like I do.

That's just another 'woman-less' diet tip of the day--FOR A HOUSEBOY! Now, if you don't mind...I need to get caught up on my AC/DC, Scorpions, and Pantera!

Or you can listen to OLDIES like I do. Lots of young people are too. If you look at any Beatles or CCR song on YouTube, you'll find a TON of young people liking songs that their parents and grandparents listened to. Why? Because they beat the pants off any of the crap made today, that's why!

You know, @MarkyMark, you're right. I even forgot to mention the golden oldies (pre-1985)! The Beatles, Monkees, Chicago, AC/DC, Zeppelin, Black Sabbath...and some vintage R&B, including Al Green, Chi-Lites, Commodores, Earth Wind And Fire, etc., and everything else inbetween...

But let's face it, I'm much more of a headbanger--I like my rock 'n roll "hard and heavy"!

A favorite of mine that perfectly describes the effect of Modern Womyn on a new MGTOW is "Since You've Been Gone" by 'Weird Al' Yankovic.

Here's an article over at the Today Show Web site that says pretty much the same thing.

@Ping.Jockey, I've never heard of that song, but Weird Al is kinda funny and a 'god' for spoofing hit songs!

@Anon@4:38pm, thanks for reminding me of MSN carrying the story, anyway!

Find it online at Youtube and give it a listen (warning: it's completely 'a capella') -- the last line says it all!
